Meet The Team

About Taylor Travess (Owner/Business Operations)
Taylor Travess was born and raised in Springfield, Oregon, where he graduated from Springfield High School and went on to play collegiate baseball at Mt. Hood Community College, earning an associate’s degree in business. He continued his education and athletic career at the University of Oregon, graduating with a degree in social science with an emphasis in economics and business while playing baseball for the Ducks. His passion for the sport took him overseas to Australia and through independent leagues across the U.S.

Coming from a long family history in construction throughout Lane and Deschutes County, Taylor has always valued hard work, community, and integrity. His wife’s family also has deep roots in construction and property management, giving both families a proud legacy of craftsmanship and service. Taylor and his family are also dedicated to giving back, actively supporting local charities and community efforts.

Before founding Traylor’s Construction, Taylor built a diverse career—working as a baseball coach, merchandise associate, water technician, and in insurance sales and claims—before spending years with the largest restoration company in the world as Project Manager and Estimator. Drawing on this broad experience, he launched Traylor’s Construction and later partnered with Halen Hamby to grow the company’s success.

About Halen Hamby (Owner/Construction Operations)

Raised in Crow, Oregon, Halen Hamby graduated from Crow High School and built a career rooted in hard work, dedication, and a genuine commitment to people. He is a devoted husband—his wife works in real estate—and a proud father to a young daughter. Known for being personable, intelligent, and community-driven, Halen brings the same values to his work as he does to his family life.

Halen’s career began at WinCo Foods before he transitioned into construction, working for a pneumatic company erecting steel buildings. He later gained experience in underground utilities and fiber optics before joining ServiceMaster of Eugene as a water technician. There, he earned multiple industry certifications in fire and smoke remediation, water damage restoration, biohazard cleanup, and the applied science of water drying. His leadership and technical expertise quickly led to his promotion as a Restoration Project Manager.

Afterward, Halen spent 14 years with a large restoration company in Eugene as a supervisor, where he managed teams handling water and fire restoration as well as full rebuilds. In 2023, he partnered with Taylor Travess to form Traylors Construction, combining decades of hands-on experience with a passion for building lasting relationships and quality projects.
